AAAS Science Journalism Awards

The AAAS Science Journalism Awards have honored professional journalists for distinguished reporting on the sciences, engineering, and mathematics.

Berlinale Talents Lab

Berlinale Talents is aimed at emerging film actors, audience designers, composers, cinematographers, directors, distributors, editors, film critics, producers, production designers, sales agents, screenwriters, sound designers and digital set designers with an existing portfolio of work.

BlueCat Screenplay Competition

BlueCat accepts both feature length and short screenplays, every screenplay will receive one written analysis, with our best screenplays receiving over $40,000 in cash prizes.

Cannes Films Unlimited

The purpose of the course is to offer 12 writers new to television drama an insight into how the industry works, specifically for one hour series and serial drama, and to work with them as they write an original drama script.

Cinespace

CineSpace is a collaboration between NASA and Houston Cinema Arts Society that offers filmmakers around the world a chance to share their works inspired by, and using, actual NASA imagery through “CineSpace”, a short film competition.

Climate Story Fund

We are looking for creative nonfiction projects that can complete production this year with support from the Climate Story Fund. Awards in this round of the fund will range between $20,000 and $100,000.

CrossCurrents Doc Funds

The CrossCurrents Fund is an international fund for filmmakers who are members of or have a deep connection to the underrepresented and marginalized community.

DEI Film Grant

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Film Grant Fund provides intentional support and funding to amplify women, BIPOC & LGBTQ+ centered stories that celebrate running across the spectrum of cultural experiences.

Filmmakers Without Borders

Filmmakers Without Borders supports independent filmmakers around the world via grants and other funding initiatives.

Follow Focus Grant

The ScreeningRoom / Jigsaw Productions Follow Focus Grant provides $10,000 finishing fund for a cinematic documentary short in post-production

Frameline Completion Fund

The Frameline Completion Fund provides grants to emerging and established filmmakers. This program seeks to provide a much-needed source of financial contributions to artists who often struggle to secure funding to complete their works.

Just Films Ford Foundation

The Ford Foundation seeks to reduce inequality in all of its forms, and artist-driven documentary and emerging media projects are crucial to this effort.
