This grant supports independent filmmakers developing a narrative feature film at an early stage, especially in contexts where film infrastructure, financing, and international visibility remain limited.
It is intended for filmmakers with clear artistic strength and previous directing experience, whose project still needs development support before moving further into financing and production.
- For early-stage narrative feature films only
- Open to filmmakers living and working in eligible countries
- Also accepts some diaspora filmmakers from eligible countries
- Strong focus on first- and second-time filmmakers
- Main selection criterion is artistic quality
- Project should still have limited confirmed financing
- Short films and television projects are not eligible
- Applications must be submitted in English
